Doug Neugold
Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, President
Doug Neugold is responsible for guiding all of ATMI's business interests and operations worldwide. In January of 2011, he was named Chairman of the Board, in addition to being the Chief Executive Officer and President, positions he was appointed to in 2005 and 2000, respectively. Mr Neugold first joined the Board of Directors in August 2003 coincident with being named Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, Mr. Neugold served as Executive Vice President of the ATMI Materials division and joined ATMI as Vice President of the NovaSource division. He became that division’s President in July 1998. Before joining ATMI, he was President of Johnson-Matthey's Semiconductor Packages Group.
Doug began work in the electronics industry in 1982 selling capital equipment and chemicals. He joined Johnson-Matthey as a Sales Engineer and was subsequently promoted through a succession of product, sales, marketing, and management positions, including Director and General Manager of Singapore Operations, Director and General Manager of Asian Operations, Vice-President of Semiconductor Packages Group, to President of the Semiconductor Package Group.
In 2003, Mr. Neugold was elected to the International Board of Directors of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), the trade association serving the worldwide semiconductor equipment, materials and flat panel display industries. This year, he will serve as that group’s Chairman. Doug has a B.Sc. degree from Clarkson University in New York, and is a member of the University's Business Leadership Council.
Christian F. Kramer
Senior Vice President and General
Manager, Microelectronics
Chris Kramer was appointed Senior Vice President and General
Manager, Microelectronics, in 2013, and is responsible for
developing and executing all strategies for ATMI’s business
operations in the semiconductor and display industries,
including the introduction of new product and service solutions.
Mr. Kramer joined ATMI in 2010 and, through 2012, served as
Senior Vice President of ATMI Material Solutions, a role in
which he was responsible for the company’s ion implant business
and its gas and liquid packaging solutions.
Prior to joining ATMI, Mr. Kramer was Vice President, Global
Strategic Account Management for Tokyo Electron America, a
global manufacturer of capital equipment used in the
semiconductor industry, from 1998 through 2010, where he was
responsible for developing strategic business and technology
relationships with customers. Prior to that, Mr. Kramer held
various commercial leadership positions in the semiconductor
industry.
Mr. Kramer received a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval
Academy and served in the U.S. Navy as Surface Warfare Officer
for seven years after receiving his degree and commission.
Mario Philips
Senior Vice President and General Manager, LifeSciences
Mario Philips was appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager, LifeSciences in January 2010, and is responsible for developing and executing all business strategies, including introduction of new products and service solutions for the LifeSciences industry. Prior to that, Mr. Philips served as General Manager of ATMI LifeSciences from 2004 through 2010, General Manager for the ATMI solids packaging business from 2003 through 2004, and Global Sales and Marketing Manager for the ATMI solids packaging business from 2000 through 2003. Mr. Philips joined ATMI in November 1999 as part of the ATMI acquisition of MST Analytics, Inc, serving as European Sales Manager for ATMI analytic systems.
Prior to joining ATMI, Mr. Philips had held European sales management positions with FPM Analytics, a Chicago based manufacturer of on-line wet chemical analyzers. He spent four years with Ankersmit Benelux, a European distributor for analytical equipment, where he held various positions in Sales. Mr. Philips started his career as Quality Assurance Manager with Amylum Belgium, an international sugar syrup company.
Mr. Philips earned an Engineering degree in Biochemistry at CTL, Gent, and has a postgraduate degree in Marketing from Groep T Leuven.
Tim Carlson
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Tim Carlson was appointed ATMI Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in September 2007 and is responsible for planning ATMI financing strategies, and managing ATMI's overall finance activities and information technology systems. Before becoming CFO, Mr. Carlson was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Packaging for ATMI. Prior to working with the Packaging business, he was leading the ATMI business development activities. Mr. Carlson has previously managed the ATMI worldwide finance organization as Vice President and Corporate Controller, where his responsibilities included overseeing financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, investment and cash management, and internal audit.
Before joining ATMI in 2000, Mr. Carlson was with Campbell Soup Company, a global manufacturer of soup, beverage, confectionery and prepared food products, from 1991 to 2000, where he held the position of Finance Director for Campbell Australia and for Pepperidge Farms. He also held strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and internal audit positions. From 1988 to 1991, Mr. Carlson was with Ernst & Young.
Mr. Carlson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with concentrations in finance and accounting, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dan Sharkey
Executive Vice President, Business Development
Dan Sharkey was appointed Executive Vice President of Business Development in 2007, and is responsible for expanding ATMI markets and long-term growth potential by identifying and delivering new strategic and product opportunities. Mr. Sharkey joined ATMI as Chief Financial Officer in April 1990 and continued in that position with the additional responsibilities as Treasurer and Secretary until 2007.
Before joining ATMI, Mr. Sharkey was Vice President of Finance for Adage, Inc., a publicly traded computer graphics manufacturer, from 1987-1990. From 1983-1987, he was Corporate Controller for CGX Corporation a venture capital-backed, privately held computer graphics manufacturer that merged with Adage, Inc. in 1987. From 1978 to 1983, Mr. Sharkey worked as a Certified Public Accountant in the Boston office of KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mr. Sharkey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Larry Dubois
Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer
Larry Dubois joined ATMI in 2007 as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, responsible for executing ATMI's current technology strategy and for developing its future technological direction.
Prior to ATMI, Dr. Dubois was Corporate Vice President and Head of the Physical Sciences Division at SRI International, Menlo Park, California, where he and his team focused on the development and commercialization of numerous technologies, including advanced materials and coatings, environmentally-benign processing, breakthrough energy sources, and micro- and nano-fabrication. Prior to joining SRI, Dr. Dubois worked at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in Arlington, Virginia, as Director of the Defense Sciences Office. Previously, he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff and Technical Manager at AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Dr. Dubois earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from MIT. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Sylvan source, the Associate Chairman and Chairman-Elect of the Defense Science Research Council, and a member of the Technical Advisory Board for Four Seasons Ventures.
Kathy Mincieli
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Kathy Mincieli was appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources in January 2010, and is responsible for developing and implementing global human resource strategies, and providing leadership for all human resource functions at ATMI including: organization, policies, recruiting, planning, communication, compensation, benefits, Human Resource Information Systems, and leadership development. Prior to that, Ms. Mincieli served as Vice President, Human Resources from November 2008 through January 2010. Prior to her current role, Ms. Mincieli served as Senior Director of Human Resources, leading Human Resource activities globally for the company’s Sales and Marketing functions. Ms. Mincieli joined ATMI in January, 2002 as Human Resources Manager for recruiting and performance management. In that role, she directed the centralization of both functions globally, placing the company on one consistent process and platform.
From 1998 until joining ATMI, Ms. Mincieli was Director of Human Resources for the North American Lead Logistics division of Kuehne and Nagel, a multi-national company based in Switzerland. Ms. Mincieli worked for the eight years prior for Lord & Taylor stores, a division of May Department Stores, serving as Director, Human Resources from 1994 - 1998.
Ms. Mincieli received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from St. John’s University.
